I prefer being an older  Lilo, thankyouverymuch.  ;o)

I've never been a fan of Disney, and have watched very few of the films. Circumstances forced me into sitting through one of the princess-y films on a recent Brownie pack holiday, and yuck :( No, I'm really not a fan.

As a child, I was a HUGE fan of Disney, but even then was always bothered by the fact that none of the characters looked like me.

For a folklore class at uni, though, I had to watch the Princess-y flicks ad nauseum. That was about ten shades of excruciating brain pain. Needless to say, that got rid of any lingering love for damsels in distress.

I must say, though, that it's fun to search for the hidden symbolisms in the movies...But that's just the dork in me talking ;oP

Everything can be taken from a man or a woman but one thing: the last of human freedoms to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.
